The District Partners with Red Cross on Clothing Drive

The District, local boutique owned and operated by Derri-Ann Browne, recently partnered with the Antigua and Barbuda Red Cross to host a clothing drive to help the less fortunate in our communities.

The District patrons were encouraged to donate new or slightly worn clothing for the initiative that occurred during the recent concluded holidays. The response was overwhelming and customers received a ten percent discount on purchases for participating in the clothing drive. District owner, Derri-Ann Browne matched the donations with items from the store, in essence doubling the donations for the Antigua and Barbuda Red Cross.

The District, a local boutique that specializes in providing the latest fashion from emerging designers, has been in existence for the past five years and hopes that this is the first of many partnerships with the Antigua and Barbuda Red Cross, an organization that has served our nation since 1941 through their various charitable and volunteer endeavours including first aid training, disaster preparedness, HIV & AIDS education, fire victims support and blood donation drives.
