One out of three charges against the embattled former Executive Secretary of the Board of Education, D. Gisele Issac, has been dropped.
On Tuesday June 22nd, a Magistrate dismissed the charge of $80,000 larceny from the Board of Education that D Gisele Issac was accused of.
However the two other charges of fraudulent conversion and corruption charges are still in place for her to stand trial.
These two remaining charges are to be challenged in the September Criminal Assizes. Issac is said to be committed to mounting her defense.
In May 2016 Issac was further slapped with 18 additional charges for which she was granted bail of EC$200,000.
The former Executive Secretary is of the view that these charges charges against her are politically motivated.
D Gisele Isaac is also a member of the main opposition party, the United Progressive Party and also severs as Chairman of the political party.
