Antiguans and Barbudans in Washington last Sunday prayed for the success of Sir Ronald Sanders in the contest for the post of Commonwealth Secretary-General. The Antiguan and Barbudan community had gathered at the Church of the Holy Comforter in Washington for a service marking the 34th anniversary of Antigua and Barbuda’s independence at which Professor Cannon Dr. Kortwright Davis officiated.

As Patron of the Antigua and Barbuda – China Friendship Association (ACFA), Governor General HE Sir Rodney Williams recently delivered a speech at the fifth China-Latin America and Caribbean (CELAC) Region People to People Friendship Forum in Hangzhou, China. CDB signs agreement with IDB to secure USD 71.5M sustainable energy programme for Eastern Caribbean

MIAMI, FLORIDA October 20, 2015 – More funding has been put in place to facilitate the growth of the renewable energy sector in the Eastern Caribbean. The Sustainable Energy Facility for the Eastern Caribbean; a  USD 71.5 million loan and grant package was today signed by  Dr. William Warren Smith, President of the Caribbean Development Bank  (CDB) and Luis Alberto Moreno of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
