MEDICAL STUDENT IN HIT AND RUN ACCIDENT CHARGED

Police on Wednesday, charged 24 year old Chirjeet Singh Biring in Sunday’s hit and run traffic accident on Sir George Walter Highway. Biring, a medical student residing at Utopia Park Apartments on Sir George Walter Highway, was charged with Dangerous Driving and Failing To Report A Traffic Accident. He is alleged to have been the driver of a white Subaru Impreza motor car A49660 that struck and injured 41 year old Gavin Crump of Coolidge. Police Force Mourns the Passing of one of their own

The rank and file of the Royal Police Force of Antigua & Barbuda is mourning the loss of one of its own. Dead is Corporal of Police Ognel Browne of Langfords, who succumbed to injuries he sustained in a traffic collision on the on Friars Hill Road. Police Continue Investigating Freak Weekend Accident

Over the weekend, the Perry Bay community was plunged into disbelief as a driver was electrocuted while transporting a container. What seemed to be a normal work detail, turned into what is now being described as a “freak accident.” The police are currently investigating the details surrounding the electrocution of a man known as “Strongman” from the New Winthorpes /Barnes Hill area. It was reported that the man was instructed to move a storage container and it came into contact with an electrical wire which resulted in him being electrocuted.

Bolans Smash up- Two Men Found Unconscious on Scene

On Monday, two men were knocked unconscious after a serious accident in the Bolans Community . The car crash is said to have occurred near the radio lighthouse facility in Bolans. According to reports, the men were seriously injured after their vehicles collided with each other. When medical services arrived at the scene of the accident both men were unconscious and subsequently taken to the hospital. Based on reports of eye witnesses, the injures the men sustained seemed serious enough to be deeemed life threatening.

Coroner’s Inquest Ruled Phillip’s Death an Accident

A Coroner’s Inquest on Tuesday, concluded by ruling Oniqua “Nikki” Phillip’s death was an accident. Magistrate Conliff Clarke convened the hearing in St. Johns Magistrate’s Court with a six member jury panel to look into her death. During the hearing, a number of witnesses; to include police officers were called upon to give evidence into the matter. The Police and the Fire Department are currently investigating a Crash landing of a single engine aircraft on the sister isle of Barbuda on Thursday. Lifeless Body of 68-year-old Freetown Man Found in Port Waters

Coast Guard personnel have recovered the lifeless body of a Freetown man earlier today. The body has since been identified as that of Simon Henry, 68, who was reportedly last seen alive on Friday afternoon. Police have not yet released an official statement on the matter but reports in some sections of the media suggest fowl play was not being considered. Henry’s body has since been transported to the Straffie’s Funeral Home. Police investigations are ongoing.
