Coroner’s Inquest Ruled Phillip’s Death an Accident

A Coroner’s Inquest on Tuesday, concluded by ruling Oniqua “Nikki” Phillip’s death was an accident. Magistrate Conliff Clarke convened the hearing in St. Johns Magistrate’s Court with a six member jury panel to look into her death. During the hearing, a number of witnesses; to include police officers were called upon to give evidence into the matter. The Police and the Fire Department are currently investigating a Crash landing of a single engine aircraft on the sister isle of Barbuda on Thursday. It was reported that a red and white “Cherokee Warrior,” single engine aircraft with registration #N8862F, from St. Barth crash landed in Barbuda around 9:40 am on Thursday. Lifeless Body of 68-year-old Freetown Man Found in Port Waters

Coast Guard personnel have recovered the lifeless body of a Freetown man earlier today. The body has since been identified as that of Simon Henry, 68, who was reportedly last seen alive on Friday afternoon. Police have not yet released an official statement on the matter but reports in some sections of the media suggest fowl play was not being considered. Henry’s body has since been transported to the Straffie’s Funeral Home. Police investigations are ongoing.

The police are reporting that a 15 year old Hodges Bay youth lost his life in the country’s 6th road fatality, which occurred on Thursday (20th October, 2016) on Friars Hill Road. Swetes Woman Charged in Fatal Accident

The driver of the vehicle involved in Wednesday’s fatal accident, which claimed the life of 23yrs-old Xavier King of Swetes, has now been charged.
