Japanese government installs community disaster response storage units and weather stations

A 10 million Japanese yen grant aid project continues to be realized in Antigua and Barbuda with the installation of community disaster response storage units and weather stations in several communities. Two of the storage units, known as BOKOMI stations, were recently erected at the Police Headquarters as part of a training session conducted by Japanese Engineer Masayuki Aoki (o-kee) with District Disaster Coordinators. DoGA launches training for Sexual Assault Response Team

June 23rd , 2017 marked the opening of the first support centre for victims of gender-based and sexual violence (GBSV) in the Caribbean. In honour of its one-year anniversary the Antigua and Barbuda Support And Referral Centre (SARC) hosted a two-day Knowledge and Capacity-Building Workshop for members of its Sexual Assault Response Team. Prime Minister Gaston Browne Stands in Solidarity with the People and Government of Venezuela

Prime Minister Gaston Browne held bilateral and diplomatic talks with South American ally the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela on Tuesday, June 26th, 2018.
