Antigua and Barbuda to Receive US$200,000 Grant from IDB/CDB Joint Agreement

Japanese Woman Arrested for Battery- Fights Customs Officers

A 57yr-old Japanese woman is currently in police custody, after she was arrested at V.C Bird International Airport for Battery on Police, Disorderly Conduct, among other offences. It is alleged that Masayo Goto, who arrived in Antigua on Monday aboard Caribbean Airline Flight #459 from Jamaica, put up a fight with Customs Officers, and refused to be searched, during a routine check. Police arrested and charged 39yr-old Marsha Monett Hogan of All Saints on Tuesday, with larceny of one Samsung J2 Prime mobile phone. The accused allegedly stole the phone from a shelf inside China Town Resource Store, located on Market Street, on 31stJanuary.
