Three Charged With Kidnapping Willikies Youth

The police arrested and jointly charged three men from the Eastern end of the island with Kidnapping over the weekend.

Unsworth Floyd of Glanville'sTahvry Baltimore, 30 of Willikies, 28yrs old Unsworth Floyd of Seaton’s, and 30yrs old Kemoy Colbourne of Glanville’s were arrested and jointly charged for (1)Unlawfully carrying away 19yrs old Tyshawn Roberts of Willikies against his will and (2) Without lawful authority, forcibly seized and confined him against his will.

Tahvry Baltimore of WillikiesThe alleged incident took place at Willikies last Wednesday, when the three men pulled up alongside Roberts in a white motor truck and forced him inside the vehicle.

It is further alleged they drove him to Glanville’s, where they bound his hands and feet and pour a flammable liquid on him. He however managed to escape from his attackers and went to Willikies Police Station, where he made a report.

Kemoy Colbourne of Glanville'sAn immediate investigation was launched into the matter and all three men were arrested and taken into custody.  If convicted, these men are facing up to seven years imprisonment, according to Section 65 of the Offences Against a Persons Act, Cap 300 of the Laws of Antigua and Barbuda.  They are likely to make their first appearance before the court on Monday.
