The administration of the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda have since initiated two (2) new locations where residents will be able to obtain a Police Certificate of Character (Police Record).
Effective Monday, 13th July, 2015, a Criminal Record Outpost will be in operation at the Coolidge Police Station, conveniently situated for residents within that proximity. Likewise, an Outpost will be operated at the Barbuda Police Station, for the convenience of residents on the sister isle.
Applications made at the Coolidge and Barbuda Criminal Record Outposts will require two (2) recently taken passport-sized photographs and a valid passport, along with $10.00ECD. However, the process will require two (2) business days, after which the applicant will return to collect their certificate. This is to facilitate the necessary checks, which have to be made before the record is being issued.
With respect to the Criminal Record Head Office, situated at the St. John’s Police Station, an alphabetical system is being introduced. Applicants whose surname (as printed in their passport) begins with the letters A-E will be acknowledged on Mondays, initials F-J on Tuesdays, K-O on Wednesdays, M-T on Thursdays and U-Z applicants will apply on Fridays. The certificate will be issued at the time of application.
With the implementation of the new Criminal Record Outposts, residents will have the accessibility to choose between three (3) locations for obtaining a Police Certificate of Character.
The new Outposts will operate between the hours of 9:00 am to 3:30 pm on business days.
