Police highlight two weekend robberies

Two reports of robbery that took place over the weekend, where on separate occasions are being investigated by police. In both incidents the victims reported that they were robbed of their monies and other valuable items.

UPDATE: CAUSE OF DEATH DETERMINED FOR Decomposed Body Discovered at Mt. Obama, IDENTITY ESTABLISHED

The Police have reported that a post mortem examination was conducted last Friday on the body of the late Colin Wright, 35, of Mount Obama and upon conclusion of the examination, a death certificate was issued stating that the cause of death was due to Bronchopneumonia.

Colin’s body was discovered in a galvanize shack on the 6th of January in its late stages of decomposition. Pathologist Dr. Goodwin performed the examination.

The Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a recent discovery of a body of a 35 year old Rastafarian male, in the Mt. Obama area. The body was found shortly after midday Sunday and has since been identified as Collin Osmond Lightfoot.

Man Charged For Escaping Police Custody

The Police on Tuesday arrested and charged 31 year old Kergus Martin of Cooks Hill for Escaping Lawful Custody and for Assaulting a Police Officer.

Dominican Woman Detained With Over ₤35,000

On Saturday 22nd December 2012 Officers of the Office of National Drug and Money Laundering Control Policy (ONDCP) along with Officers of Customs and Excise Department seized over  £35, 000 (EC$150,000)  while on duty at the V. C Bird International Airport. The monies were discovered in the carryon luggage of a 68 year old Dominican born national who is also a British citizen.

Computers Missing From School

The Police reported that close to a dozen Laptop Computers were reported stolen from a High School over the weekend; as they continue to be challenged with a number of burglary offences.
