The police are investigating a report of robbery after responding to a 911 Emergency call. A McKinnons man reported that he was robbed of his money by an armed masked man.
The alleged incident took place shortly after midnight while the man was walking home, in the vicinity of the Yorks basketball complex. He reported that a young man armed with a gun, and covered face, walked up behind him and demanded he handed over his money. He was robbed of approximately USD$50.00.
He described his attacker to be about 5ft- 5ins in height, slim built, and was wearing a dark long sleeve hoodie.
As a result of quick response by the police, a Villa man was apprehended and found with a .38 revolver firearm and five matching rounds of ammunition. He is presently in police custody assisting them in their investigations.
