ABBA Sanctioned Barbuda Relief Basketball Fundraising Tournament Shoots off on Sunday

As part of the continued efforts to show support to the Barbuda Relief, the Antigua and Barbuda Basketball Association will host “B4B” – Basketball for Barbuda. The fundraising event, styled as a Ball-O-Rama, will be held on Sunday 17th September 2017 at the JSC Sports Complex starting at 4pm, and will feature some of the Association’s top teams. Six teams, which include, HUF Baldwin Braves, Flyers Basketball, F&G Trading Cuties Ovals Ojays, LJ Northside Stingerz, Barbuda Crushers, and the U-19 Antigua Pitbulls will participate in the upcoming event slated for Sunday….

After months of intense preparation for the 2017 U20 Male Leeward Islands Basketball Association (LIBA) Tournament, the Antigua and Barbuda Basketball Association (ABBA) is pleased to announce the final squad due to participate in the upcoming competition. National 3×3 Youth Basketball Team Captures Third Place 

Over the weekend, the historic National 3×3 Youth Basketball Team, comprising of Judah Ferris, Sheldon Gomes, Eric Joseph Jr., and Ahmani Browne, competed in the first ever International Basketball Foundation (IBF) Antilles 3×3 International Youth Championships held in St. Lucia. The competition featured teams from Aruba, Barbados, Guyana, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, France (Guadeloupe, Martinique), and the Netherlands (Curacao, Saint Maarten). Secretary-General Ambassador Irwin LaRocque has expressed the Caribbean Community’s pride in the achievement of its athletes at the just concluded Rio Paralympics.
